What we’re looking for:

As Transaction Monitoring Team Lead at Tide for India business, you will line manage a team of analysts within our first line of defence. This includes managing their day-to-day activity and taking responsibility for their personal development, whilst managing the overall workload of the team. You will also provide Management Information to the senior management where necessary. The team you manage will operate 7 days a week. 

You will review the processes, ensuring they are of the highest quality, and support investigations for more complex cases.  Where required, you will advise and guide analysts on cases, conduct assurance on a variety of processes within Ongoing Monitoring, and suggest improvements to existing controls and processes where you see fit. Where necessary, you will conduct typology reviews. You will work closely with other stakeholders at Tide such as the Head of KYC, and Member support.

As a Transaction Monitoring Team Lead you’ll be:  

  • Owning and managing the ongoing monitoring workstreams and forecasts 
  • Ensuring all SLAs are met to provide the best service possible for our members 
  • Reporting the success and efficiency of each workstream to senior stakeholders 
  • Assessing opportunities for efficiency improvements and reducing false positives, working with tech and non tech teams to implement these changes
  • You will be comfortable with data - you don’t need to be an expert, but you’ll be comfortable enough with a spreadsheet and dashboards 
  • Being the subject matter expert on ongoing monitoring, due diligence and AML risk and managing a team of analysts
  • Managing day to day BAU activities of team through data driven approach including but not limited to assigning cases, managing rosters and team leaves, ensuring adherence to SLAs, setup new processes basis business need
  • Resolving the issues raised by analysts and escalations by stakeholders
  • Managing and overseeing individual and team KPIs / OKRs
  • Managing Internal stakeholder (Member Onboarding team, Member Support Team, Member accession team, Quality Analysis Team, Audit Team etc.) and External (Members, Banking partners etc.)
  • Keeping yourself abreast about latest changes in KYC/ AML policies and implementation of same at team operational level
  • Assisting in creating processes, in accordance with our policies, to ensure that we meet rigorous standards whilst building efficiency
  • Working with product owners to build automation and system improvements & operational efficiencies 

What makes you a great fit:  

  • You have 5 - 8 years of experience as a team leader in the domain of ongoing monitoring preferably in financial services e.g. Banking sector and Fintech
  • You have decent product understanding and experience of digital KYC/ AML/ fraud trends, processes, and regulations in India
  • You have experience in analyzing transactions across a variety of payment types to look for signs of financial crime including fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing
  • You have a fair understanding of PEP/ Sanction screening and adverse media checks
  • You have strong understanding and experience of CDD and EDD processes in Indian context
  • You are highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual capable to maintain the morale of team
  • You are good team leader who is decisive, goal-oriented and proactive
  • Excellent in advanced excel
  • You have implemented operational efficiencies in your profile and have worked towards automation of processes (e.g., documentation review)
  • You are a multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrently
  • You have proven record of managing various stakeholders (Internal as well as external)
  • You have good communication skills- written and verbal
  • You are willing to work in a shared shift pattern
  • You are willing to work weekends or as and when required
