Senior Project Manager, Project Controls
The Role:
Are you passionate about driving complex building and fit-up projects to success? As a Senior Project Manager in Project Controls, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that timelines, budgets, and risks are expertly managed, making a tangible impact on real property fit-up projects. Your expertise in project control systems will help deliver tailored solutions that exceed client expectations and ensure project success from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Project Management and Controls:
- Lead and manage project controls for real property fit-up and building-related projects, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Develop customized project control systems to meet specific project needs.
- Implement modifications to improve project control and reporting systems.
- Create project performance reports using variance analysis, trend analysis, and earned value management techniques.
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders to integrate project data and assess status.
Building and Real Property Fit-Up Experience:
- Utilize specialized knowledge in building fit-up projects, including tenant improvements and space optimization, to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with fit-up requirements.
Client and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the point of contact for all project controls-related issues, facilitating smooth project execution.
What You Bring:
- Experience in managing project controls for building fit-up and real property projects.
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional designations such as PMP, PMI-SP, or PMI-RP are assets.
- Strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Proficiency in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Eligibility for Government of Canada security clearance.
