Tax Manager – Flow-Through Entities
TJT is seeking a Tax Manager specialized in flow-through entities. As a Tax Manager, you will focus on partnering with privately held clients structured as partnerships, S corporations, and LLCs to provide quality tax related compliance and consulting services. Additionally, you will participate in leading TJT tax professionals and developing intentional relationships with clients. Advanced skills in pass-through entity federal and state issues including special allocations of income and distributions, income, ownership transfer, and estate tax planning, pass through entity tax multi-state calculations, as well as tiered partnership structuring.

Essential Functions:
- Review and support the preparation of complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for various flow-through entities (1065, 1120-S)
- Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects on time, within budget, and up to management standards
- Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership
- Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and proactively apply new knowledge to client engagements
- Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of tax services
- Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations
- Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations
Professional Requisites:
- 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and compliance, with a focus on flow-through entities in public accounting
- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations related to pass-through entities
- Technical expertise in preparing and reviewing partnership and s-corp tax returns
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master's degree in accounting is strongly preferred
- Current CPA certification is strongly preferred
- Previous work experience in the public accounting industry is required
- Excellent managerial, organizational, and communication skills
