About Group Strategy
Group Strategy’s purpose at Too Good To Go is to act as the forward-looking sparring partner for leaders across the organisation. Group Strategy contributes to the success of Too Good To Go by:
- Facilitating and defining Corporate Strategy in collaboration with the Global Management Team - including internationalisation strategy and development of go-to-market strategy
- Identifying, nurturing and leading Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Commercial Partnership processes across all markets - including market exploration, due diligence and integration processes
- Managing and executing Group-level strategic initiatives commissioned by the Global Management Team
- Defining and executing competitor and market analysis
- Partnering with Product and Brand leaders to spar and co-create the exploration, development and commercialisation of new growth opportunities
The role
The Strategy Manager role reports to the VP of Strategy, and works closely with the Global Management Team and senior leaders across the organisation to set the long-term direction for the company. You will work across a range of strategic topics within the realm of Corporate Strategy, M&A, Commercial Partnerships, Market Intelligence, Monetisation and Growth Opportunity Exploration.
Key responsibilities
- Support the VP of Strategy with the development and maintenance of our Corporate Strategy across strategy cycles
- Support the exploration of international expansion opportunities, including market mapping, pre-launch research and business case development
- Lead competitor and market trend analysis to support the identification of potential new growth opportunities outside our current business areas
- Develop recommendations for new growth exploration areas aligned to the Corporate Strategy, and support the Product team with translating new ideas into executable products and services
- Ensure compliance to our company-wide OKR process through tracking, sparring with Functional leaders and progress reporting to the Global Management Team
- Support the VP of Strategy with M&A and Commercial Partnership processes, including market mapping, due diligence and integration
Requirements
- Experience working in strategy consulting, an internal strategy/business development function or a high-growth platform business
- Demonstrated ability to work and gain buy-in across all stakeholder levels
- Humbleness and confidence in presenting to senior level executives
- A doer’s mentality and proactive attitude to finding solutions for most complex challenges and situations
- Grit and determination to go the extra mile and deliver under pressure with relentless attention to detail
- A track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output
- A balance of IQ and EQ – and courage to use both in a professional setting
- Strong drive, sense of ownership and pride in delivering outstanding quality day-in-day-out
- Inspiring, engaging and motivating communication skills – in-person and online
