Meet the Team:
Oversee logistics and supports the planning and operations of a remote site autonomous trucking facility. Collaborates with engineering, safety, legal, and project teams to produce and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly goal plans, requests for procurement, and tasks list for efficient and effective operations. Develops, implements, and monitors logistics plans and procedures to maximize compliance with transportation needs within budget constraints. Continuously reviews and communicates road and weather conditions and traffic concerns to optimize driving operations and avoid loss time and potential dangers. Maintains inventory and records.
What you’ll do:
- Work with operations, fleet management, finance and third-party entities to maximize efficiency, cost and loss efficiency, and reduce risks and liability exposure.
- Collaborate with engineering, safety, legal, and project teams to produce and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly goal plans, requests for procurement, and tasks list for efficient and effective operations.
- Define, communicate, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for our teams.
- Ensure regulatory and DOT compliance.
- Manage all maintenance related paperwork, documentation, invoices, etc. Enter information into database and analyze maintenance failures to understand costs and how to prevent downtime in the future.
- Maintain database of all site assets including facilities, trucks, parts, equipment, tools, etc., including location, repositioning/relocation, current value or replacement costs, damages, surplus, depreciation factors, etc.
- Utilizes knowledge of equipment and vendors to ensure power unit specifications, lower fuel costs and improve miles per gallon.
- Support field operations develop tools and methods that enable and empower field operators to maximize time and resources.
- Quantifying, analyzing, and documenting logistics of labor cost, mileage and logs, hours on the road, mechanical loss time, truck and equipment maintenance histories and logs, driver/conductor loss time, gas/diesel/oil logs, fuel cards, inspection and sticker logs, hazmat
logs, etc.
- Continuous review and communicate daily weather forecast, road conditions and closures, traffic concerns and accidents, etc., that could cause a slow down or stoppage, and help drivers and conductors avoid potential dangers.
- Ensuring information is communicated in quick and proper formats to the director of operations, safety manager, fleet manager, and safety conductors.
- Assist with accident/incident investigations.
- Build and maintain relationships among the headquarters team, Daimler staff, Rouch drivers and staff, and Torc’s team, and understand their needs and drive alignment with Torc’s vision.
- Assist in creating and maintaining guidelines and procedures to protect the confidentiality of all company, site, and program documentation and materials
Assists with recruitment, interviews, onboarding, training, etc., of employees.
- Inventory and records management of truck inspections, identification information, upfitting and decals, ordering, shipping, coding, and procurement of vehicle parts, items, etc., needed for operations.
- Review all fleet related expenses for validation and appropriate cost allocation
Travel: This position requires transportation to locations outside the main complex. Valid US Driver’s license with a safe driving record required. May travel occasionally to other states.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Torc's total compensation package will also include our corporate bonus and stock option plan. Dependent on the position offered, sign-on payments, relocation, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
