We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced legal counsel to come work with us in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, including with Torq’s worldwide customers (NDAs, MSAs/SaaS Agreements, DPAs), partners (reseller agreements, distribution agreements, technology partner agreements) and vendors
  • Advising on a range of compliance and regulatory issues
  • Supporting other teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, R&D) to deliver business-oriented legal advice with a deep understanding of Torq’s technology
  • Handling various assignments and projects across the company
  • Working with external counsel as required

Qualification:

  • LL.B (or equivalent) from a leading academic institution
  • 3+ years post-qualification experience in commercial/technology department at a leading law firm or as in-house legal counsel at a hi-tech company
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating SaaS agreements – required
  • Knowledge of regulations impacting technology companies, including data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA) and AI - required
  • Native (or native-level) English – required 
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking and highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
