Senior Social Strategist

Hollywood, CA - Remote

Mutiny is Trailer Park Group’s integrated creative agency focused solely on the Gaming space. Deep audience insights anchor it, integrated creative thinking, and proprietary data and strategy—all backed by Trailer Park Group’s premium content production resources on a global scale. 

We are currently seeking a Senior Social Strategist to join our expanding integrated marketing team.  

This role involves helping lead strategic creative planning for social campaigns in our Gaming marketing team, partnering closely across disciplines to transform client business challenges into creative digital solutions with an audience-first, content-agnostic approach to strategic and creative development. 

IMPORTANT CALL OUTS:

  • Experience working for a social-forward marketing agency is a must - it is required that candidates have worked in an advertising agency environment, driving creative on social campaigns
  • West Coast location is preferred as this role will be required to work West Coast hours, Monday through Friday each week
  • A passion for gaming is mandatory - FPS play is helpful

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Leadership:
- Maintain a close relationship with direct and day-to-day clients 
- Provide integrated communications planning thought leadership on projects & campaigns
- Establish strong and influential relationships with internal members of senior leadership across disciplines and departments (Creative, Account Management, Production) 

Strategic Thinking: 
- Ability to field and execute strategic requests big and small, with varying timelines 
- Lead briefings that inspire innovation and breakthrough ideas 
- Surface insights from data, research, and performance reporting. Use 3rd party research tools to refine complex information and data into key takeaways and/or compelling hypotheses
- Bring innovative, fresh social thinking to our creative and strategy teams
- Build strategic messaging & communications frameworks designed to inform where and how a social brand ideally connects with desired audiences 
- Build campaign and/or user journey to inform campaign ecosystem, phasing & channel needs.
- Deeply understand the client business and what makes it tick

Communication and Collaboration:
- Identify key communication tasks and develop relevant ideas that come to life in innovative ways 
- Co-create inspiring, informative briefs for our creative teams, in collaboration with our strategy & data partners 
- Partner with the measurement and analytics team to determine measures of success and synthesize findings to clear, actionable insights
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Seeks direction from manager to prioritize and ensure work is aligned with expectations

Initiative:
- Provide POVs on media and marketing tactics, collaborating with cross-functional teams and partner agencies when necessary
- The ability to push beyond the assignment or the ask
- Actively contribute and bring your voice to the table

Presentation:
- Prepare and give presentations on findings and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders
- A clear comfort level in front of clients and on a “stage"

ABOUT YOU:

  • BA or equivalent is preferred
  • A minimum 7+ years of integrated strategy experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in social-forward advertising / marketing
  • Passionate about all facets of gaming – culture, streaming, eSports, marketing
  • Ability to field and execute strategic requests big and small, with varying timelines
  • Proven ability to write briefs that inspire innovation and breakthrough ideas
  • Comfortable working at the pace of entertainment marketing
  • Comfortable tackling various projects at once and reprioritizing as needed day to day
  • Sensitized to when to push and when to pull back in client/creative communication
  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability to push beyond the assignment or the “ask”
  • A proactive, self-directed attitude towards work - not waiting to be told how to take on tasks
  • A clear comfort level in front of clients and on a “stage”
  • Natural leadership with clients and internal teams
  • The ability to deftly tap into and apply the context of the world we live in
  • Command of ALL the ways brands connect with people in today's world - traditional, digital, event, etc.
  • A respectful but provocative attitude, always questioning and pushing thinking, but knows when to 'land the plane'
  • The ability to surface insights from data, research, and performance reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

Annual base pay range for this position is below.

$100,000 - $125,000 USD
