Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an Air Monitoring Technician for our Florham Park, NJ team. You will provide onsite operation of the Greenlight™ Environmental Monitoring System at client project sites. We will train you!
This self-motivated individual will be responsible for protecting site personnel and safeguarding sensitive receptors at the perimeter. The Air Monitoring Technician will conduct real-time monitoring at the perimeter to ensure compliance with the site-specific air monitoring plan and associated alarm levels, state and federal regulations, and best industry practices.

This position reports to an Environmental Health & Safety Director. This role is onsite at assigned client project sites in NY and NJ and is based out of our location in Florham Park, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of equipment.
- Fulfill requirements of the air monitoring plan, while keeping the client informed of site conditions.
- Respond to alarms and alerts.
- Conduct data analysis of monitoring results and produce daily reports.
- Conduct periodic environmental sampling for lab analysis.
- Provide assembly / disassembly of monitoring systems.
- Remotely monitor system alarms and alerts for multiple sites.
- Upkeep of non-deployed equipment and inventory.
- Job site mobilization / demobilization of units.
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus).
- 1+ years of experience in environmental monitoring, construction site work, remediation or equipment operation (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with air quality monitoring systems or willingness to undergo training.
- Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance (OSHA, EPA, state/local air quality regulations).
- Mechanically inclined, with some understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- OSHA training a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions at active construction sites.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (typically up to 60 lbs).
- Willingness to travel to different project sites as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation.
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC).
- Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday). Some overtime may be required.
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior relevant industry experience.
- Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification.
