ABOUT ROCKET MONEY đź”®

Rocket Money’s mission is to meaningfully improve the financial prosperity of millions of people. Rocket Money offers members a unique understanding of their finances and a suite of valuable services that save them time and money – ultimately giving them a leg up on their financial journey.

We're seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Systems group at Rocket Money to support our Design Systems and Performance teams. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, and the successful delivery of core system initiatives that impact our entire product ecosystem. This role will sit in the Product department and will collaborate closely with the Design Systems and Performance teams to ensure successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will be able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on program management.

Please note: We strongly encourage team members to be in the office 1-2 days per week, though there is no formal in-office requirement

ABOUT THE ROLE 🤹

In this role, you will:

  • Be focused on the long-term success of the Design Systems and Performance teams, closely monitoring program level impact and outcomes
  • Support the development of OKRs, annual planning, and quarterly roadmaps that balance team needs and organizational priorities in collaboration with your team partners
  • Ensure work is adequately scoped and planned for the team to be successful
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects spanning Engineering, Design, and Product teams, managing feature releases and roadmap timelines while effectively communicating expectations to external teams. Some example projects that you might tackle are platform upgrades, theming, or internal development tools.
  • Serve as an extension of the team when working with counterparts inside R$ and the Rocket Family of Companies
  • Implement systems that streamline team operations, reduce misalignment, and help the team achieve more with less effort while maintaining high quality standards. Have the intuition to add value through structure without introducing too much red tape.
  • Work with the team to manage the backlog, maintaining a comprehensive status view, and ensuring effective prioritization and execution of work across the team

ABOUT YOU đꦄ

  • 3+ years of experience leading cross functional projects in a tech organization, with at least one year of experience in a program management role. Bonus points for experience working with agile development teams.
  • Experience running/managing phased rollouts of new tech/tools that need a lot of feedback management and triage is a plus
  • Experience working within an organization that uses a design system and an understanding of the value design systems bring to product teams. Direct experience contributing to or managing work streams involving a design system is a plus, but not required.
  • You are a critical thinker and are experienced in solving complex problems in dynamic environments.
  • You are skilled at bringing structure to ambiguity by identifying root causes of disorganization and implementing scalable, sustainable systems to improve clarity and consistency.
  • You are an active listener who can understand needs and concerns across different groups. You know when to monitor, when to take action on feedback, and when to escalate or mitigate risks.
  • You have experience working with teammates to turn big picture questions into a project plan, turning that project plan into tasks, and supporting the team to drive it to completion.
  • You have experience with measuring and demonstrating ROI of deeply-technical initiatives
  • Communication is an art for you. You have a high level of emotional intelligence, and feel confident influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • You are trusted to have a good intuition around when you can advocate on behalf of others, and know when to pull in other team members to help drive something forward.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
