ABOUT THE ROLE 🤹‍♀️

We're looking for a senior product leader to serve as the Group Product Manager for Financial Products and Partnerships, owning the product strategy and execution across our financial products and partnerships lines of business. You'll define the next generation of Rocket Money's financial products and partnerships within the larger Rocket ecosystem and ensure we have a best-in-class platform for our members.

Rocket Money's Financial Products and Partnerships group builds products that help members meet their financial goals - both by enabling them to save and invest for the future and by offering partnership opportunities that create value for our members and for the business. As the senior-most product leader for these lines of business, you'll sit on the Financial Products and Partnerships leadership team and guide strategy, product direction, and execution across multiple business lines. You'll lead a team of product managers who drive significant business impact and shape a cohesive, long-term vision for our financial products and partnerships.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:

  • Define and evangelize the product strategy and roadmap for financial products and partnerships Rocket Money. Deeply understand our customer needs, business model, regulatory environment, and partner ecosystem to identify market opportunities that inform our strategy
  • Serve as both player and coach – you’ll lead complex, high-impact projects yourself while developing a small team of Product Managers responsible for individual product lines
  • Influence key strategic decisions that shape the future of Rocket Money's financial products and partnerships, establishing clear priorities and tradeoffs aligned with broader company goals
  • Set objectives and KPIs that align with our larger business and product strategy and deliver measurable impact every month
  • Work with research to uncover customer insights and partner closely with design to bring product ideas to life. Use prototypes and develop experiments that get customer feedback early and often
  • Partner with engineering to help determine the best technical implementation methods to achieve our customer and business objectives
  • Measure progress, remove roadblocks and identify efficiencies that keep us moving fast but effectively towards our goals
  • Collaborate closely with external banking, investment, technology, and partnership partners, representing product priorities and guiding joint decisions that influence product architecture, roadmap, scalability, and member outcomes
  • Partner with Growth Marketing, Design, Data, Lifecycle, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Member Support to build software collaboratively and inclusively

  • 8+ years of experience as a product manager
  • 3+ years managing and coaching product managers
  • You possess a unique combination of technical prowess, empathy, and strategic insight, and you are energized by the opportunities that come with operating at the center of multiple products, teams, and business lines
  • Experience guiding teams with numerous products at different phases in the product lifecycle. You enjoy the challenge that comes with bringing new products to market and the the opportunity to improve existing experiences to solve customer problems
  • You’re a master cross functional collaborator comfortable working with other product managers, engineers, external partners, and operational teams to get things done
  • Experience leading products with significant technical depth – you’re familiar with the complexities of integrating new APIs, scaling systems effectively, and are energized by complex technical challenges that underpin product experiences
  • You can use data and customer feedback to generate insights, identify opportunities, and tell a story that motivates those around you
  • You have an owner’s mindset - you don’t shy away from the hard stuff and are comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments
  • You're excited by the opportunity to lead a major product portfolio with meaningful P&L impact and to shape the future of Rocket Money
  • You have a passion for our mission: helping to improve the financial lives of millions of people
  • Experience at a fast-growing startup in a cross-functional environment is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with tools for data analysis (i.e. Looker and Amplitude)
  • Prior financial services and/or fintech experience
  • Experience launching banking and/or brokerage products at a fintech is a major plus

Additional information: Salary range of $175,000 - $225,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skill, and experience.
