
Head of Operations
We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Head of Operations to lead True Classic’s global supply chain and operational strategy during our next phase of explosive growth. This role is critical in scaling our omnichannel capabilities—spanning DTC, retail, wholesale, and marketplace channels—while driving efficiency, cost discipline, and operational excellence across sourcing, logistics, warehousing, and fulfilment.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading complex, global supply chains at rapidly growing consumer brands. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing systems that support seamless product delivery, scalable infrastructure, and an exceptional customer experience across all channels. In addition to core operational accountabilities, this leader will drive process excellence and PMO discipline across teams—partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure operational alignment with company goals and cross-functional execution at scale.

All True Classic roles are global and omni-channel, driving accountability across product categories, regions, and sales/marketing channels. This role will allow you to impact operations company-wide, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and supporting executive efficiency at the highest level.
Please Note: This is a hybrid role, with a combination of remote work and in-office presence at True Classic’s headquarters in Calabasas, CA.
Key Areas of Accountability
Team Leadership
- Recruitment & Development: Hire and onboard top talent for internal teams and external partners, ensuring they align with the company culture and values.
- Team Motivation: Develop and implement strategies to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Partnership Management: Build strong & mutually-beneficial relationships with external partners (e.g., 3PLs, product vendors, consultants, SaaS partners, off-shore resources, etc) to ensure alignment with True Classic's goals and priorities.
Warehousing:
- 3PL Oversight: Manage global third-party logistics partners to ensure warehouse operations meet service level agreements and support omnichannel growth.
- Omnichannel Fulfillment Excellence: Ensure warehouse operations are optimized to support diverse fulfillment needs across DTC, retail, wholesale, and marketplace channels globally, delivering a consistent and scalable customer experience.
- Efficiency & Accuracy: Drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, order fulfillment speed, and operational efficiency using data-driven analysis.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor capacity across global warehouse locations and lead initiatives to scale infrastructure in line with demand.
- Technology Enablement: Implement and optimize software solutions to improve visibility, automation, and scalability.
Transportation:
- Inbound Logistics Management: Coordinate inbound shipments from suppliers to global warehouses, optimizing for cost, compliance, and on-time delivery.
- Outbound Delivery Optimization: Select and manage transportation partners to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery to customers, both wholesale and DTC.
- Internal Transfers: Manage product transfers across facilities to maintain healthy inventory levels and support cross-channel fulfillment.
- Reverse Logistics: Design and manage efficient return processes that minimize cost and environmental impact while preserving customer satisfaction.
- Freight Strategy & Reporting: Analyze transportation data and implement routing and carrier strategies to reduce cost and improve delivery performance.
Operational Excellence & Program Management (PMO)
- Business Process Ownership: Lead cross-functional process design and optimization efforts to improve clarity, reduce friction, and drive scalable execution across the org.
- Program Management Discipline: Establish program management tools and cadences to ensure timely execution of cross-functional initiatives and strategic priorities.
- Systems Strategy: Partner with Technology and broader internal stakeholders to assess, implement, and improve operational systems (e.g., WMS, ERP, inventory tools) that support business growth.
- Executive Reporting: Build reporting frameworks that provide visibility into key metrics, initiative progress, and operational risks for the executive team.
- Operational Rhythm: Own the operating cadence for ops-driven planning, execution, and accountability rituals across the company.
Central Inventory Management (in partnership with Accounting):
- Real-Time Inventory Systems: Implement and maintain systems that deliver accurate, real-time inventory visibility across all distribution and fulfillment centers.
- Inventory Accuracy & Trust: Ensure inventory records are consistently reconciled with physical stock to minimize discrepancies and build operational confidence.
- Audit & Compliance Management: Lead regular audits and cycle counts to control shrinkage, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Inventory KPI Reporting: Monitor and report on turnover, aging, and accuracy metrics to drive accountability and support business decisions.
- Process Optimization & Tech Integration: Streamline workflows and integrate technologies like RFID and automation to enhance inventory efficiency, scalability, and visibility.
Vendor Sourcing & Management (in partnership with Merchandising):
- Sourcing Support & Alignment: Support sourcing strategy and vendor selection processes by advising on logistics, cost, lead time, and capacity considerations.
- Global Trade Optimization: Provide expertise on international tariffs and landed costs to inform sourcing decisions and reduce operational risk.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandising, Product, and Planning teams to ensure supply chain implications are built into sourcing roadmaps and partnerships.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and regularly assess vendor performance on cost, quality, and delivery timelines, supporting with corrective actions as needed.
- Relationship Development: Build strong, strategic partnerships with vendors to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and supply chain reliability.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, or Business Operations, within consumer goods, apparel, or DTC brands
- Proven ability to build and scale operational infrastructure across multiple channels—DTC, retail, wholesale, and marketplaces
- Experience implementing and optimizing core operational systems (e.g., WMS, ERP, inventory, or fulfillment tech platforms)
- Strong background in program management, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment at scale
- Demonstrated success managing 3PLs, logistics partners, and operational vendors in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Analytical and data-driven approach to solving problems and driving continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with executive teams and cross-functional partners
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Knowledge of global operations, international trade compliance, and inventory strategy
