Manager, International Content Operations
About the Role:
You will be part of the team managing content operations for the United Kingdom, Canada, Latin America, and Australia. This role plays a key part in ensuring we successfully execute against our international content strategy, increasing Tubi’s Monthly Active Viewers (MAVs) and Total Viewing Time (TVT). You will coordinate with internal teams on content promotions, manage communications with external stakeholders in each market, and work with our International Marketing and Sales teams to create promotional packages (both on and off platform) that drive increased viewing to Tubi.
The ideal candidate would have strong content knowledge across various verticals and understanding of regional preferences and trends. They must have hands-on experience dealing with internal and external delivery timelines, and strong communication skills. This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced content professional with editorial experience and technical savvy to contribute directly to the growth of the Tubi platform.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a proven team player, and an excellent communicator, with the ability to reliably meet deadlines and impeccable attention to detail.
This is a hybrid role based out of our London office. You must be willing to travel to our London office two days/week.
What You'll Do:
- Manage International Content Operations, which includes:
- Oversee 4 diverse content catalogues in Tubi’s international markets
- Support and drive the editorial strategy for key content verticals in each Tubi territory including Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and LATAM
- Point of contact for our Content Acquisitions teams regarding new content slates and providing guidance around territory fit for new acquisitions
- Make “editor’s choice” selections across content categories (e.g., Black Cinema, Anime, Bollywood Dreams, etc.) while creating and pitching opportunities for new categories, creative curations & acquisitions
- Point of contact for external device & distribution partners in each market, providing up to date content highlights and associated assets - ensuring that we’re maximising Tubi’s prominence on these devices & platforms
- Manage editorial initiatives, detailing content-forward opportunities, with both short-term and long-term planning cycles alongside key cross-functional stakeholders: Internal (Sales & Marketing) & External (Device Partners, Sales Agencies)
- Maintain and distribute editorial, promotional, and programming calendars internally and externally. Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional teams regarding the calendars and priority programming.
- Manage monthly content comms with our regional ad-sales partners per territory
- On request, make recommendations to the Content Acquisitions team on potential titles to acquire
- Review avails lists as needed in collaboration with the Content Programming & Scheduling team
- Execute ad hoc content projects in collaboration with internal teams, providing support to tech teams as needed with Content experiments and initiatives
- Data-driven decision making
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, editorial or project management
- Demonstrated leadership in a demanding technical environment with command of systems and processing at scale
- Experience in managing comms with external stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong understanding of the media landscapes in Canada, Latin America, the UK, and Australia.
- A service-oriented approach to intercompany relationships with excellent communication and coordination skills
