Middle Office Analyst

Job Summary

The selected candidate will work as part of the US Middle Office group.

The Tudor Middle Office is responsible for independent P&L and valuations for the firm.  The group works with a broad range of asset classes the firm trades such as equities, currencies, fixed income, credit and commodities.  Collaborating with other departments such as risk management, operations and our fund administrator, the team develops and implements proper policies and procedures to ensure accurate positions, risk, and valuation.  Innovative thinking and strong communications skills are required for any candidates to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Independent price verification, valuation and P&L production.
  • Monitor markets and internal systems to ensure real-time, accurate performance and risk metrics for portfolio managers and senior management.  Promptly diagnose and fix any issues as they arise.
  • Ensure proper trade life-cycle P&L including corporate actions, coupons and cash flows
  • Oversight and development of valuation methodologies and model appropriateness; routine independent modelling of OTC and exotic transactions
  • Position requires extensive interaction with Tudor's traders and counterparties so effective communication is vital to the role
  • The middle office team helps coordinate between various internal stakeholders such as operations, trade support, risk, software development, legal, treasury, investor relations, as well as with external fund administrator and auditors
  • Perform reviews to incorporate all relevant information to the valuation process including analysis of the transaction structure, the modelling and methodology adopted, available market data and/or any proxies considered appropriate, valuation adjustments and any relevant regulatory, risk or accounting considerations
  • Involvement in various projects / ad-hoc reporting requests by senior management and front-office business units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (majors in Finance, Mathematics or related fields) Masters or CFA Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a valuation or product control role
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong programming skills required (Python, VBA, SQL)

Salary

Annual base salary for the position is expected to be from $80,000 per year to $120,000 per year, with the actual salary dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience and credentials, the salary expectations of applicable applicants, and other mark
