Pay Range:

  • The full pay range is $128,009 - $192,013/annually.
  • We provide an additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for those employees who can support our members' financial needs effectively in a second language; subject to verification of strong grasp of financial terms utilizing language skillsets.

Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Job Overview:

Provides technical expertise in designing and implementing data solutions that drive innovation. Champions best practices and leverages emerging data engineering technologies across the organization. Ensures data solutions deliver tangible business value, supports enterprise initiatives, fosters a culture of continuous learning, and mentors other data engineers.

What you’ll do:

  • Designs, implements, and maintains scalable data pipelines using modern tools like Azure Data Factory.
  • Automates and orchestrates complex data workflows, ensuring reliability and fault tolerance.
  • Implements change data capture and master data management mechanisms for efficient data replication and synchronization.
  • Leverages streaming technologies for real-time data processing.
  • Administers and optimize databases to ensure high performance, availability, and data integrity.
  • Monitors and tunes database performance, including indexing, query optimization, and caching.
  • Implements data validation and cleansing pipelines using techniques like data profiling, constraint enforcement, and anomaly detection.
  • Develops data quality monitoring and alerting systems to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Establishes data governance frameworks like Microsoft Purview and enforce data quality standards across the organization.
  • Collaborates with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, etc), and automated testing and deployment strategies for data pipelines.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and processes.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and industry-specific standards.
  • Implements data security measures, such as encryption, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to junior data engineers, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
  • Contributes to knowledge-sharing initiatives by conducting training.
  • Develops and optimizes data pipelines for real-time data ingestion, processing, and analysis.
  • Leverages machine learning techniques for data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer/data science or a related field. 
  • A minimum of nine (9) years of experience in Software Development with Databases with a minimum of three (3) years in Data Engineering.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Azure or AWS Data Certifications, Azure or AWS Cloud Certifications.

What you’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning development and production environments.
  • Knowledge of ongoing developments in applicable technology.
  • Knowledge of SQL and other database programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Data Science languages such as Python.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes like Azure Data Factory.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, availability and scalability, particularly Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures like Azure Databricks.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance principles.
  • Knowledge of Data Science principles.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Total Rewards:

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Includes an option for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to be paid at a 100% by company for the employee only coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions, and Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA). Employees also have access to Life and AD&D insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time (may be prorated based on hire date in the initial calendar year).

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
