Strategic Account Manager, SynBio/Biopharma - S Korea

APAC - Remote

As the Strategic Account Manager at Twist Bioscience, you will play a key role in growing sales and building our market presence across both the Bioscience(Synbio) and Biopharma domains. This position requires the ability to manage and grow two distinct product lines.

Under the Synthethic Biology portfolio, you will primarily focus on growing, managing key accounts and customers related to DNA / gene synthesis and applications associated with the portfolio. Under the Biopharma portfolio, you will develop, nurture and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical, biopharma, and biotech companies, promoting our Twist Biopharma Solutions. You will also be responsible for introducing and expanding gene synthesis-related products to Biopharma customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies to expand market share in both Bioscience and Biopharma sectors to manage key customers and build strong, lasting relationships.

  • Develop strategic plans to introduce and promote Twist Biopharma Solutions to pharmaceutical, biopharma, and biotech companies.

  • Identify potential clients and decision-makers within target organizations and establish strong professional relationships.

  • Research, prospect, and build connections with new clients to expand business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals that address client requirements and objectives.

  • Participate in pricing discussions and negotiations, ensuring competitive and attractive offers.

  • Handle objections and resolve differences effectively, leading to positive outcomes.

  • Present new products and services while maintaining and enhancing existing client relationships.

  • Coordinate with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs and develop revenue streams.

  • Organize and participate in internal and external client debriefs.

  • Attend industry functions, association events, and conferences to gain insights into market trends and innovations.

  • Present to mid- and senior-level management on business trends and growth opportunities.

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to boost sales.

 

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical or bioscience sales.

  • Good understanding of gene synthesis and Antibody drug discovery, along with solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biopharma industry.

  • Strong network within the biopharma and bioscience sectors, including key decision-makers and industry professionals.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biosciences, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills, using data to make informed decisions.

  • Ability to manage projects across different teams, identifying risks and solving problems.

  • Commitment to following Twist Bioscience's values and principles.

  • High level of discretion and trustworthiness with confidential information.
