Academic campaign & new initiative launch

  • Help plan and execute the launch campaign for a new academic campaign, from concept refinement through channel rollout.
  • Support the academic audience strategy , messaging, segmentation, and journey , in partnership with the Academic Marketing team.
  • Own day-to-day coordination of campaign programming: timelines, asset trackers, briefs, and launch checklists.

Programming & digital execution

  • Build and manage campaign programming across digital channels (email, web, paid/programmatic, marketing automation) targeting the academic audience.
  • Partner with Digital to launch, monitor, and optimize academic-audience campaigns; report out on performance and make recommendations using data.
  • Keep campaign assets, landing pages, and program calendars organized and on schedule across every workstream.

Cross-functional partnership

  • Work with Design to brief, review, and finalize campaign creative assets.
  • Work with Content to shape academic-audience messaging, copy, and campaign storytelling.
  • Work with Brand to keep this initiative and each of its touchpoints on-brand and consistent.
  • Support Social in bringing new campaign concepts to life organically and in paid social, helping plan and post content across Twist's channels.

Events & experiences

  • Partner with the Events & Experiences team on academic conference presence, campus activations, and on-site brand experiences.
  • Help coordinate on-site logistics, giveaways, and academic-audience engagement at key events and trade shows.

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, with a life sciences background or closely adjacent field (biology, biochemistry, biotech, bioengineering, neuroscience, etc.) , OR a marketing/communications/business degree paired with genuine fluency in or curiosity about life science / academic research audiences.
  • A marketer's mindset: curious about audience, messaging, and what actually makes a campaign land , you can translate scientific credibility into a compelling story.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable briefing creative and presenting ideas to stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle several concurrent workstreams and partners.
  • Genuine interest in social platforms, content trends, and brand storytelling; campus, lab, or academic community experience is a strong plus.
