Overview:
This remote position resides in the our Product Accelerator where we leverage creativity and a start-up mentality to bring high-impact capabilities. It requires collaboration across multiple product teams and business units to access a variety of unique data sets including social media, telecommunications, and advertising. To explore solutions that can integrate data sets with our products and platforms to impact customer mission goals.

Ideally you will bring a clear mission perspective from national security-focused work supporting missions like targeting, intelligence analysis, cyber operations, or analytic methods. You will need to enjoy being part of the messy start of building new ideas and be comfortable taking initiative and quickly testing hypotheses to orient us around the most promising opportunities. You must be able to access data in Elastic Stack, other database technologies or via APIs.

While remote, you will have the option to work from a nearby office locations. Our Product Accelerator team has individuals working from offices in Arlington, VA, Herndon, VA, and Baltimore, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Using data analytics platforms like Kibana, web applications like Jupyter Notebook, or coding to access data sources from multiple products and data sources across the company.
  • Initiative: Understanding generalized opportunities observed in the Product Sales and Business Development pipelines to promote integrations between data sets across products, and translating these into actionable hypotheses we can test.
  • Mission Focus: Bringing perspective of multiple years of work on national security missions to validate opportunities in data integration
  • Collaboration: Working with colleagues in engineering, data science, design, and product teams to validate opportunities and determine next steps for pursuing them.
  • Communication: Keeping multiple stakeholders apprised of progress and decisions
  • Prioritization: Keeping focus on actionable opportunities in an ocean of possibilities, and willingly setting aside work that can’t quickly gain traction.

What you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience at the intersection of targeting, operations, and/or intelligence analysis and data/analytic tools and techniques. This experience should demonstrate substantial expertise in both areas.
  • Comfort working programmatically with data to surface insights
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • A willingness to learn and utilize new technology and tools

What we would like:

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Familiarity with components of our stack, including Elastic Search and Kibana, Python, Jupyter Notebook, and APIs
  • Experience with data analysis work directly in support of targeting or operations for a National Security mission

Clearance needed:

  • Active Secret and eligible for TS clearance

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range

$113,100 - $229,300 USD
