
Senior Benefits Specialist

We are growing and looking for a Senior Benefits Specialist to join the team. This is a new position for the team and you will be a key member of Corporate HR, playing a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the benefits for our organization.
This is a hybrid position working from our Arlington, VA office.
What you will do:
- Manage benefits programs across the Company to include health, dental, vision, retirement plans, life insurance, disability, total rewards, and wellness initiatives
- Work closely with benefits broker, benefit vendor representatives and Human Resource team to ensure our offerings remain competitive and are in line with employee needs
- Make recommendations to further shape employee benefits and/or ensure Two Six Technologies is being fiscally responsible
- Develop, implement and lead wellbeing initiatives that promote employees' physical, mental, and financial health
- Monitor and stay current with trends, benchmarks and best practices in the benefits landscape to ensure the company remains an employer of choice
- Serve as the main POC for external partners; work with insurance brokers as needed to research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify the best options and value
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and retirement programs
- Manage employee claims resolution by liaising between employees and our insurance carriers and/or broker
- Conduct Benefits Onboarding for New Employee Orientation and process new hire benefits enrollment and employee benefits changes
- Lead annual benefit renewal and efforts for Open Enrollment
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection guidelines and maintain the Affordable Care Act (ACA) measurement and reporting obligations
- Manage Leave Administration & COBRA
- Research paid state leave requirements and communicate to impacted employees
- Manage Benefits invoices and reconciliation.
- Enhance and maintain the benefits intranet site, shared drive and employee files
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in human resources or additional related experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Benefits Specialist/Administrator
- Flexibility to work on site 2-3 days per week in the Arlington Headquarters location
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably Paycom), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Platform (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills to engage with employees and build relationships at all levels
- Organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
Salary Range
$116,000 - $175,000 USD
