About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Compensation Analyst II to join our growing Total Rewards team. Our priority is to design, implement and optimize competitive compensation programs that drive business strategy and attract, engage, and retain top talent across a diverse organization. In this role, you will partner closely with leadership and key HR and business stakeholders to advise on compensation practices, manage annual reviews, and maintain equitable pay structures. The ideal candidate is a consultative analytical thinker, skilled in data visualization and complex modeling, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a passion for driving strategic compensation initiatives. 

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Responsible for collaborating with Total Rewards VP and team, as well as key business & HR stakeholders to optimize Total Reward programs/policies; this includes analyzing operational processes, measuring outcomes to safeguard desired results; & identifying and taking advantage of optimization opportunities 
  • Support & manage compensation practices for key employee groups (executive & broad based comp) for a diverse employee population 
  • Helps design, budget, and administer the annual review process
  • Ensures the company’s compensation program is aligned with our business strategy, compliant, and equitable across all diversity lenses 
  • Maintains company pay ranges & periodic benchmarking process 
  • Conducts job evaluations and market/pay equity analyses for client groups
  • Participates in annual benchmarking surveys on behalf of the company
  • Educates managers and recruiters on best approaches to attract, engage and retain talent from a variety of backgrounds and industries 
  • Partners with leaders and serves as a compensation consultant to deliver broad-based cash and total rewards programs, including regularly modeling a variety of rewards scenarios 
  • Effectively partner cross-functionally with People Business Partners, Finance, Payroll, and managers across the organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of compensation planning/analytics experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive initiatives from concept to execution
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling way

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • 5+ years managing comprehensive Total Rewards programs
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL (or other coding language) for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience working in high-tech organizations
  • Experience or understanding of freight, logistics, or transportation industries
  • Experience working with Oracle HCM, Pequity

  • Illinois: The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 a year.
