Senior Technical Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to lead complex, data-focused projects and serve as a trusted advisor to our customers. In this role, you will own advanced reporting and analytics solutions, mentor junior consultants, and ensure the accurate transfer of historical data from clients’ legacy systems into Unanet ERP AE. If you are an experienced data professional with deep skills in SQL, SSRS, and Power BI and a passion for delivering strategic insights, this role is for you.

You will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong consulting skills, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, documentation, and quality validation, while maintaining full accountability for accuracy, reconciliation, and client outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead client engagements to assess data needs, define requirements, and deliver custom data solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Own historical data migrations from clients’ legacy systems into Unanet ERP AE, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Design, implement, and validate complex SQL queries, SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards, using AI-assisted tools where appropriate to improve speed, quality, and insight.
  • Provide expert-level analytics and reporting services, transforming raw data into clear, actionable information for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants on data best practices, tooling, and project delivery, elevating the overall capability of the team.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate data analysis, report/dashboard development, documentation, and quality validation while maintaining responsibility for reconciliation and sign-off.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines, scope, and quality to ensure client satisfaction and successful delivery.

Your First 90 Days

First 30 Days:

  • Complete HR orientation and onboarding.
  • Meet the Unanet Professional Services team and key internal stakeholders.
  • Begin shadowing senior team members on advanced data tasks, including historical data migrations, complex SQL/SSRS/Power BI work, and AI-assisted analysis.

First 60 Days:

  • Take ownership of small, well-scoped client data tasks, including data transformations, validations, and report updates.
  • Oversee report development and contribute to advanced Power BI dashboard creation.
  • Begin using AI-assisted tools under guidance to support analysis, documentation, and QA.

First 90 Days:

  • Lead historical data migration workstreams, including mapping, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Mentor junior consultants on data tasks where you have demonstrated strength.
  • Present observations and recommendations on current data, migration, and reporting processes to leadership to support continuous improvement.

Who You Are

  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or a similar role.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools to support data analysis, reporting, or documentation, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, SSRS, and Power BI building complex, production-grade solutions.
  • Advanced skills in data visualization, analytics, and business intelligence, with a track record of turning data into actionable insights.
  • Strong background in relational databases and data architecture, including schema design and performance optimization.
  • Proven expertise managing large-scale data migrations from legacy systems, including planning, mapping, execution, and reconciliation.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience guiding junior team members or cross-functional partners.

Your Differentiators

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with Unanet ERP AE is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience leading data projects and business consulting engagements preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance principles and experience in the Architecture/Engineering (A/E) industry preferred.

The salary range for this opportunity is $88,800 - $114,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
