On-Site Safety Coordinator

What you’ll deliver 

Exceptional administrative and management support to the Site Safety Manager while contributing to the successful delivery of client projects. Custodial support on-site to ensure a safe and clean working environment for all Unispace employees and subcontractors.

What you’re responsible for 

  • Supporting with project paperwork - uploading paperwork daily into Procore
  • Ensuring site safety and cleanliness through the guidance of the Site Safety Manager
  • Ensuring thorough understanding of project terms 
  • Offering Concierge service to the client on-site; Supporting with future guests, lunch events, and client organized activities
  • Managing client expectations regarding site safety and maintenance   
  • Identifying and reporting risks to Site Safety Manager and Sr. PM  
  • Collaborating across disciplines, regions, studios  
  • Observing the performance of consultants and subcontractors 
  • Project documentation including quality control of documentation 
  • Implementing Delivery and Safety best practices  
  • Ensuring alignment to culture, values and behaviours of Unispace 

How we’ll measure it 

  • Accurate and timely reporting of project performance
  • Client Satisfaction with maintenance of the construction site
  • Timely submission of project paperwork
  • Positive client feedback and client satisfaction in line with organizational goals 
  • Understanding of project vision and mutual expectations with respect to roles/responsibilities, work to be completed, timeframes and required outcomes 
  • Effective and regular communication regarding inter-dependencies and other issues affecting the project(s) success 
  • Level of cooperation and engagement towards achieving project outcomes 
  • Actions taken to identify and resolve risks and issues 
  • Consistency of standards, technology solutions and process across local studio to achieve global brand capability, drive best practices and achieve efficiencies 

Technical knowledge, skills and experience 

  • OSHA Certification (desired but not essential) 
  • H&S qualification (desired but not essential)
  • Construction and/or related Project management qualification (desired but not essential) 
  • Supporting a project team 
  • Ability to take clear direction and carry out tasks
  • Project management software and Microsoft office suite 
  • Knowledge of building codes and health &safety standards (desired but not essential)
  • Commercial awareness 
  • Communication Skills
  • Professional writing skills (ability to write concise and professional emails)

Base Pay Range

$60,000 - $80,000 USD
