Role Profile

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Lead Business Development professional to drive growth for our Life Sciences business across Ireland and the UK, with a specific focus on process-driven projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting Unispace Life Sciences' expertise in delivering complex, process-intensive facilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify and target potential clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors within Ireland and the UK.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets across Ireland and the UK.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing clients throughout Ireland and the UK.
  • Understand client needs and challenges, and develop tailored solutions that align with Unispace Life Sciences’ capabilities.
  • Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new projects.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including design, engineering, and project management, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Represent Unispace Life Sciences at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities across Ireland and the UK.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments within Ireland and the UK.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, science, or business.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the life sciences industry, with a focus on process-driven projects.
  • Proven track record of success in winning new business and achieving sales targets within the life sciences sector.
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, biotechnology, and medical device production.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required within Ireland and the UK.
