About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cash Accountant to join our finance team. The Cash Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's cash accounting, ensuring accurate and timely cash reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. This position is based in our San Francisco office in a hybrid capacity.
What You’ll Do:
- Record cash receipts and disbursements in the general ledger, ensuring accurate tracking of cash transactions.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over cash transactions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to cash and cash equivalents.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the cash management function.
- If applicable, assist with accounting and reporting for lending activities, including loan disbursements, repayments, and interest calculations.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cash management or a similar accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
- Familiarity with lending accounting principles and practices is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $70,000-$85,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
