About the Role

This role is designed for candidates in the early stages of their careers who are looking to grow in data science and product management. While we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, the responsibilities and scope of this position are best suited for those seeking entry-level experience. Work Arrangement
This is a U.S.-based hybrid role, requiring two in-office days per week at our New York City office. While hybrid work is preferred, we also welcome fully remote candidates within the U.S., with priority given to those able to work in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the executive team to define strategic opportunities and work with UPSTACK's Engineering, Data Analyst, and Data Engineering teams to drive the roadmap for AI initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, process optimizations, and unmet customer needs.
- Work closely with data, engineers, and designers to translate product vision into detailed specifications and user stories.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Analyze product performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and iterate on product design.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in AI and machine learning, identifying opportunities to incorporate these technologies into products.
- Participate in product demos and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize data to drive insights that inform strategic decisions and improve decision-making processes with a data-driven mindset.
- Compare and analyze customer segments to enhance business understanding.
- Evaluate business operations using modern data science approaches.
- Identify and implement efficiencies to optimize business performance and develop AI-driven proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with relevant departments by setting up and feeding them relevant data.
- Focus on defining what needs to be done, rather than hands-on building (no hands-on building required).
Education
- A strong educational background in Data Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Salary Range
Employees new to UPSTACK typically come in at the start of the pay range. UPSTACK focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure, which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job-related skills.
The salary range for this role is $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 annually.
