The opportunity
As our Senior People Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and engaging employee experiences across our European teams. You will take ownership of core People Operations processes while actively driving improvements that make a lasting impact. You will report to the Director, People Operations, Talent & Transformation and collaborate closely with Legal, Payroll, and the broader People team (Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, L&D, etc.).
This is not just an execution role: you will be a problem solver and a trusted partner who helps shape how we deliver operational excellence across the employee lifecycle.
What you will do
- Support employees with care: respond to queries and tickets with clarity, empathy, and efficiency, ensuring employees feel supported and guided to the right solutions
- Oversee recurring operations: prepare and manage regular tasks, including monthly payroll in collaboration with our third-party provider, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
- Drive process improvements: regularly review and optimize processes, leveraging tools to automate where possible, whilst ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and employee satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with confidence: safeguard alignment with local labor law, tax, and social security requirements in partnership with Legal and external providers
- Be a trusted, empathetic partner: provide employees and managers with clear, practical guidance on People topics, communicating with clarity, care, and respect
What you will need to succeed
- Proven expertise in People Operations in a fast-paced, international environment
- Deep knowledge of German employment law, payroll, and compliance, with exposure to other European markets a strong plus
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (fluent) and German (native)
- Ability to put yourself in the employee’s shoes, finding solutions and communicating with empathy and understanding
- Passion for operational excellence: building efficient, scalable processes and enhancing the employee experience
- Nice-to-have: Experience using data to build reports/ track team KPIs; Experience with Personio or Workday
