Head of Provider Growth
About Us
Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. More than half of Americans have a chronic condition related to what they eat, and poor nutrition is the number one driver of preventable death.
Nourish is addressing this healthcare crisis by helping people eat better, more easily, with our food as medicine platform. We connect people with a telehealth Registered Dietitian, food, and mobile app to improve their nutrition, all covered by health insurance. The Nourish mobile app provides a comprehensive approach to wellness through personalized visits with Registered Dietitians, medically-tailored meal delivery, health progress tracking, personalized content, meal logging, recipes / meal planning, AI chat, and more.
We launched two years ago and already have thousands of dietitians and hundreds of thousands of patients on the platform. Our patients span a wide range of nutrition-related conditions including diabetes, eating disorders, kidney disease, GI conditions, cancer, obesity / weight management, cardiovascular disease, and more. We are live in all 50 states.
We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised over $44M from top-tier VCs including Index Ventures, Thrive Capital, Maverick Ventures, Y Combinator, and Box Group, amongst others. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About the Role
As our Head of Provider Growth, you'll own a critical function at Nourish - all strategic operations related to attracting, hiring, and activating our providers. You’ll own the dietitian recruiting process end-to-end, from application through offer sign. You’ll also own the onboarding and activation of our providers, ensuring that new hires are set up for success and ready to treat patients on their first day.
As the leader of the Provider Growth team, you’ll be responsible for setting the organization’s vision/roadmap, determining health metrics/KPIs, driving the team to high performance, and ensuring ops excellency as we grow. We view Provider Growth as a critical and innovative function at Nourish (after all, dietitians are the core of our product), and you will have full ownership over leading the organization to achieve great outcomes.
This person will report into our Head of Operations and work closely with the rest of the Operations team as well as with stakeholders & functional leads across the organization. This role is full-time and open to NYC-based candidates only (expectation to work in-person 3-4 days per week, with some remote flexibility). Our office is in the heart of Union Square.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own Provider Growth operations end-to-end, from top-of-funnel applications through offer signed and activation
- Build out robust & diverse recruiting channel mix to hit provider hiring targets and ensure adequate provider supply
- Own & optimize our provider onboarding experience, including identifying dropoff points in the onboarding funnel & enacting product, processes, etc. to improve conversion rate
- Design & articulate the value prop of working at Nourish, and partner closely with our Clinical Operations team to build our employer brand and consistently bring this vision to life
- Provide a 5-star dietitian experience throughout onboarding and hiring, ensuring that our dietitians’ first touchpoints with Nourish are best-in-class
- Be accountable for key health metrics, and drive operations to meet or exceed KPI goals
- Scale the Provider Growth org efficiently, including driving org design, leading hiring, making critical product decisions, and generally future-proofing the organization
- Be an excellent people manager, including implementing systems for performance assessment, development, and management, and motivating the team to achieve great outcomes
- Act as the Provider Growth ‘product manager’ — work with our Engineering, Product, and Design team to scope, develop, and launch critical technology — and manage vendor relationships, including identifying areas where we should add/remove tech
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams at Nourish (e.g., Clinical Operations, Business Operations, Strategic Finance, Partnerships, GTM Growth, Payers, etc.)
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You have 6–10 years of experience, with a mix of strategy work (e.g., management consulting, finance, business operations) and direct start-up experience
- You’ve led teams before and are excellent at people management & driving teams to high performance. You’re results-driven and metrics-oriented, and not afraid of ambitious targets.
- You have a sales-mindset and understand what drives success in a recruiting function. You’re a strong communicator and storyteller, and adept at setting and then selling a value prop/vision
- You are a first-principles thinker. You enjoy revamping processes/tech and identifying areas for improvement. You don’t take something for given just because it’s been done that way historically — you identify the best way to do it now and move to actualize it.
- You are operationally excellent, able to manage a robust hiring/onboarding funnel and large volume of moving pieces seamlessly, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- You’re extremely comfortable working cross-functionally, including getting support for your own initiatives and supporting other teams’ key initiatives.
- You have strong data analysis & quantitative skills. You are able to clean, cut, and analyze data efficiently & without errors, including structuring analysis & pulling out key insights.
- You enjoy new challenges and ambiguous situations and jump in headfirst when facing an issue. You are able to adapt to the situation at hand and innovative/creative in your problem-solving.
- You live in NYC or are willing to move or commute in to NYC.
