Company Strategy & Operations Lead

New York, NY

About Us

Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. Nutrition-related chronic disease is the largest and most overlooked crisis in the world. Food can be medicine: working with a Registered Dietitian is one of the most effective interventions available, but <1% of eligible Americans use their covered benefits.

Nourish is building an AI-native, patient-friendly healthcare system centered on nutrition that improves outcomes, lowers costs, and helps people live healthier, longer lives. We launched three years ago, are live in all 50 states, and already have thousands of dietitians and hundreds of thousands of patients on the platform.

We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised $115M from top-tier VCs including JP Morgan Growth Equity, Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Maverick Ventures, Box Group, Atomico, G Squared, and Pinegrove Venture Partners. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About the Role

As the Company Strategy & Ops Lead, you'll work closely with our cofounder & CEO, Chief of Staff, and senior leadership team to drive high-impact strategic initiatives and operational excellence across the company. You'll have significant exposure to executive decision-making, playing an instrumental role in shaping company-wide goals, developing strategic roadmaps, and project managing board and investor relations processes. You'll collaborate directly with department leaders to ensure alignment and effectiveness on strategic priorities, lead impactful special projects, and constantly refine our operating systems to maximize efficiency and transparency. Additionally, you'll own the broader execution and oversight of company-wide meetings, events, and initiatives, providing you direct exposure to all facets of our growing organization.

This is a deeply cross-functional role, interacting with a wide variety of teams to ensure strategic alignment and operational effectiveness. The individual best suited for this position is someone who thrives in ambiguity, is willing to roll up their sleeves to do whatever is needed, is eager to solve complex challenges alongside our leadership team, and is excited by the challenge of creating structure and clarity where it may not yet exist.

This role is full-time and open to NYC-based candidates only (expectation to work in-person 3-4 days per week, with some remote flexibility). Our office is in the heart of Union Square.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Strategy & Research: Partner with the executive team and Chief of Staff to develop and refine the company’s long-term strategy and assist in the execution of that strategy
  • Special Projects & Operational Initiatives: Drive special projects with high organizational impact (e.g., company offsites, leadership summits, major product or market launches). Collaborate with department leaders to implement and optimize processes that drive operational efficiency
  • Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Alignment: Support in translating company strategy into actionable plans for each department, ensuring cross-functional alignment across core strategic initiatives
  • Company Goal Setting & OKR Management: Help in defining, tracking, and refine company-wide objectives, key results, and success metrics, working with department leads to align goals with overall company priorities
  • Board & Investor Relations: Assist in project managing the preparation for board meetings / investor updates and the content creation for investor materials
  • Operating System & Process Improvement: Continuously review the company’s operating system to uncover inefficiencies / redundancies and identify / implement changes that increase transparency and streamline processes

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or a similar analytical/strategic role
  • You are highly analytical and comfortable using data technology (e.g., Excel, Metabase, etc.) — you love digging into the numbers, pulling out the “so‑what,” and translating insights into clear next steps
  • You have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • You enjoy high-level strategy & problem solving (zooming out) and getting in the weeds (zooming in)
  • You’re an excellent communicator with a proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
  • You’re a self-starter who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, has a willingness to plug in wherever needed, and has a strong sense of ownership
