About the Team
Dark Outlaw is a newly established AAA studio based in Los Angeles, founded by seasoned industry leaders and experienced game developers. Our mission is to create the next groundbreaking AAA original IP while reimagining the development process with a lean and highly efficient approach.
The Operations team enables and supports all creative functions in the studio while managing financial, administrative, and HR operations. This team ensures that every part of the studio runs smoothly—allowing our developers to focus on creating incredible gaming experiences.
About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Intern to join our LA studio, reporting directly to the Operations Director. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of studio operations, including HR, Admin, IT, and Finance.
You’ll play a key role in optimizing processes, supporting day-to-day operations, and implementing new procedures that help the studio function efficiently. This is an ideal opportunity for students who want to understand how a AAA studio operates from the inside out.
What You’ll Do

Support studio operations across HR, Admin, IT, and Finance functions

Assist in creating, optimizing, and implementing operational processes and documentation

Liaise between studio members, departments, and external partners with clear, professional communication

Help maintain highly accurate and organized records—both physical and digital

Contribute to project tracking and planning through tools like Trello and Jira

Take initiative to identify operational issues and support timely resolutions

A passion for games and an understanding of gaming culture is a plus
Eligibility

Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Undergraduate

Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
