Our team builds and scales the marketing data and technology platforms that power personalized engagement with PlayStation players. We design and maintain core systems such as the Attribute Store, campaign data pipelines, and observability frameworks that help analysts, marketers, and data scientists activate insights quickly and reliably.
By ensuring high-quality, AI-ready data flows, we accelerate the delivery of personalization, targeting, and measurement capabilities across channels. This work directly impacts SIE’s ability to optimize marketing spend, increase player engagement, and drive revenue growth at scale.
About the Role
As a Martech Data Engineer Intern, you’ll contribute to building and improving data systems that support PlayStation’s global marketing ecosystem. You’ll gain practical experience in data pipeline design, data modeling, and architecture—collaborating with cross-functional teams to make marketing data more accessible, accurate, and actionable.
This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical and analytical skills in a large-scale environment while learning how data engineering powers marketing intelligence and player engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Support the design and development of data pipelines (ETL/ELT) that deliver high-quality, AI-ready data
- Contribute to data warehouse development, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability
- Write and optimize SQL queries to transform and analyze data across multiple systems
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and marketers to improve data quality and reporting efficiency
- Participate in discussions around architecture, data governance, and automation improvements
- Document technical processes and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

What We’re Looking For
- Current enrollment in an accredited university Master’s program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or a related technical field, with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Candidates are encouraged to include a short note on their interest in marketing technology or data systems
- Understanding of data warehouse design, data structures, and system architecture
- Exposure to data pipeline design and processing concepts (ETL/ELT)
- Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Python/PySpark is a plus
- Interest or prior exposure to AI/ML concepts is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
- Self-starter with curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
Eligibility
- Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Advanced Degree - Masters
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
