About the Team:

The Services Commercial group is dedicated to driving growth and engagement of PlayStation’s subscription services. This group focuses on acquiring new subscribers, improving retention, and ensuring that players find lasting value year after year.

Our core product, PlayStation Plus, is central to PlayStation’s vision and strategy. The Subscription Optimization team—where this internship sits—manages delivery, execution, go-to-market organization, and process optimization for campaigns and initiatives across the Services Commercial group.

About the Role:

As a Subscription Optimization Intern, you’ll support campaign operations for PlayStation Plus while leading a self-directed project that enhances player engagement, improves targeting, or provides new market insights. This role offers exposure to the inner workings of a global subscription business and the chance to take ownership of a project that informs future strategy.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Campaigns, Insights, and Merchandising to support high-quality execution while learning how PlayStation communicates with players across platforms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Project Ownership

  • Lead a defined project aligned to team priorities (e.g., optimizing always-on placements, improving lifecycle messaging, or analyzing competitor trends)

  • Summarize findings in clear documentation or recommendations for the wider team

Campaign Operations & QA

  • Support delivery of console merchandising placements by validating assets, links, and copy

  • Help coordinate timelines and QA checks to ensure campaigns are ready to launch

  • Track tasks in Wrike and assist with asset handoff workflows

Audience Strategy & Research

  • Assist in organizing and updating audience documentation

  • Learn how user attributes shape targeting and segmentation

  • Contribute light-touch analysis or reviews of active audience logic

Market Monitoring

  • Contribute to quarterly competitor audits by tracking content, offers, or pricing from other subscription services

  • Compile insights into a format that supports campaign and trading teams

What You’ll Learn:

  • How subscription campaigns are designed, tested, and optimized in a global marketplace

  • Best practices for campaign QA, asset workflows, and project tracking

  • The role of audience targeting and competitor monitoring in shaping strategy

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams on initiatives that reach millions of players

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university Bachelor’s program in  Marketing, Business, Media, or related field with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Interest in gaming, subscriptions, or digital product marketing

  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, curious mindset

  • Ability to structure information clearly and think critically about user experience

  • Comfort working in task trackers or spreadsheets (Wrike, Excel, Google Sheets)

Bonus Points For:

  • Familiarity with PlayStation Plus or gaming subscription services

  • Experience using campaign or content tools (e.g., Wrike, Trello, Jira)

  • Prior coursework or internship experience in marketing, operations, or product

Eligibility:

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Undergraduate
  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$33.25 - $40 USD
