About The Team

At Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), data is essential for our business operations, decision-making, and enhancing our PlayStation products and specialty services. The Technical Services team is dedicated to fostering a culture of responsible and efficient data use for repair improvement, troubleshooting accuracy, and technical improvement knowledge related to customer product usage.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience implementing and supporting data processes that improve understanding and adherence to data handling policies, with a strong emphasis on data privacy. This role offers practical exposure to technical problem-solving, data analysis, and collaboration within a global technology team.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the implementation of data processes to ensure proper handling and protection of customer and product data.

  • Analyze error logs, software configurations, and system installations to help improve troubleshooting accuracy.

  • Apply knowledge of electronics equipment, tools, and data analysis to support technical repair improvements.
    Collaborate with the Customer Service team to connect data insights with repair processes.

  • Create clear, concise reports and presentations to share findings and recommendations.
    Contribute to projects and initiatives that improve technical services operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Technology systems / Engineering with a focus/interest in business process management and/or technology policy with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • A technical mindset with interest in solving problems and working with data.

  • Confidence, proactivity, and the ability to prioritize tasks and deliverables.

  • Flexibility, open-mindedness, and eagerness to learn new approaches.

  • Strong attention to detail, producing high-quality work under deadlines.

  • Efficient computer skills, including MS Office, with data-driven and analytical capabilities.

  • Broad understanding of database concepts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.

Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Undergraduate Degree 

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

At this time, SIE will only consider applicants who are authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from SIE now or in the future to maintain their authorization to work in the United States.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$41.50 - $50 USD
