Do you love baseball almost as much as you love video games? Join us at San Diego Studio to work on our MLB® - The Show game series! As a Presentation Engineer Intern for Summer 2026, you’ll collaborate with engineers, artists, and designers to improve the tools that bring the game to life.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with San Diego Studio’s tool and asset pipeline.

  • Add new functionality to existing tools to meet project needs.

  • Build new tools that support development and improve workflows.

What You’ll Gain

  • How tools and asset pipelines are developed and maintained in a professional game studio.

  • Practical coding skills using C, C++, and at least one scripting language such as Perl, Python, Ruby, or PHP.

  • Real-world applications of data structures, algorithms, and mathematics in game programming.

  • The value of working directly with engineers, artists, and designers to solve creative and technical challenges.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Demonstrated game programming experience.

  • Knowledge of C and C++.

  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP, etc.).

  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms.

  • Strong mathematics background (linear algebra, statistics, geometry).

  • Interest in sports, athletics, or related hobbies is a plus.

Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Advanced Degree - Master’s

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
