About the Role

Sony PlayStation is seeking a Corporate Development MBA Intern to join the team responsible for identifying and executing inorganic growth opportunities—including acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures.

The Corporate Development team works closely with SIE leadership to source, evaluate, and execute strategic transactions that align with PlayStation’s long-term priorities. This internship provides exposure to M&A, corporate strategy, and market analysis at the intersection of global media, entertainment, and technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Support projects and analyses under the Corporate Development team

  • Build and review financial and operating models for investment and acquisition opportunities

  • Conduct market and competitive research to inform corporate strategy and potential M&A activities

  • Summarize and analyze key industry trends, events, and implications for PlayStation

  • Assist in evaluating strategic options and preparing presentations that outline the rationale for transactions

What You’ll Learn

  • Cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders across PlayStation’s global business units

What We’re Looking For

  • Current enrollment in an accredited university MBA with a investment banking, private equity, or corporate development focus, with graduation expected between December 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • Proven experience evaluating inorganic growth opportunities and building financial models and presentations

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to structure and communicate data-driven recommendations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in video gaming, entertainment, or technology (intern or FT)  is a plus

.Eligibility

  • Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Advanced Degree - MBA 

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
