Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant I to support our Accounting Team. For this candidate to be successful, he/she must have an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, be highly self-motivated and directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous growth and improvement. This is a position that must be able to set the standard for integrity and professionalism and interact with a diverse team.

What You’ll Do:

Create rollforward schedules for monthly changes of unit related Balance Sheet items
Audit and analyze Property Management Software data for accuracy and reconciliation to cash receipts
Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Work closely with Operations Team regarding the balancing of reservations and charges to Owners
Data transfer and reconciliation
Analyze Income Statements and Balance Sheet reports
Reconcile cash receipts daily and respond to chargeback cases as needed
Drive process improvements and research relevant accounting topics
Support monthly close process
Perform flux analysis
Reconcile balance sheet accounts using company templates
Assist with consolidation
Correspond with other corporate departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of income and expenses
Other tasks and projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous travel or industry related experience is preferred
Bilingual English / Spanish required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting

Technical Skills

Highly organized and thorough
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High Proficiency with Excel and Google apps for business
Experience with Netsuite a plus
Flexibility and responsiveness to change
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Attention to detail

Work Experience

2-3 years experience public accounting or similar industry experience
Big Four audit experience a plus
Vacation Rental Industry experience a plus
