About This Job
The HR Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership for their assigned business units. A successful HR Business Partner will act as a change agent and be able to anticipate HR-related needs within their groups. This individual will seek to develop integrated solutions and formulate meaningful partnerships with their assigned groups, delivering direct value to our business objectives.
This is a temporary position only covering a maternity leave.

Essential Job Functions
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership, including but not limited to coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions
- Provide advice, assistance, and training on company policies, procedures, and practices
- Act as a positive change agent supporting both managers and employees as the company experiences growth and transformation
- Exemplify our company values and set the standard for professionalism
- Lead the investigation and resolution of employee relations issues, anticipate problems whenever possible, and develop, recommend, and initiate appropriate steps for resolution
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and regulations applicable to assigned business units or geographic locations
- Identify training needs for business units and collaborate with the training team on execution
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to determine recruitment needs and facilitate recruiting strategy and attract top talent
- Manage the full recruitment cycle including sourcing strategies, interview processes, offer negotiations for assigned requisitions
- Provide administrative support to benefits and payroll needs for assigned business groups
- Collaborate with other members of the Human Resources team on best practices, business strategies and be willing to jump in and assist when support is needed

Skills + Qualifications
- Bilingual English / Spanish required
- +3 years of experience working in HR as a similar level.
- Ability to facilitate and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams as well as leadership
- Capable of building and maintaining an effective and regular system of communication with a diverse and distributed workforce
- Working experience resolving complex employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, performance management, and recruiting
- Knowledge of federal and multi-state specific employment laws
- Proficiency and comfort with various technologies including Google Apps for Work, Slack, and other similar tools
- Experience with web based HRIS and Performance Management systems
- Must be extremely customer-focused with strong communication skills through multiple channels (verbal, written, email, chat, etc.)
- Strong organizational, time management, and process management skills necessary to maintain high volume workload
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high performance standards
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- The ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and embrace changes as they arise
- Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and being able to share information in a way that’s clear, thoughtful, and easy to understand
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Workplace Environment + Expectations
- Hybrid work environment with in-person local office (Santiago, Chile) worktime required
- Typically a Monday - Friday workweek with expectations to be flexible to support the needs of the business
Physical Demands
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance.
