Controls and Automation Engineer (PLC Consultant)

Job Summary:
We are seeking highly adaptable Instrumentation and Controls Engineers to join our team and support our client on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience with Siemens, Rockwell, or Allen Bradley PLC or Wonderware SCADA. The candidate will be responsible for first response triaging, automation event reports, and automation change controls.
Responsibilities:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the automation systems, identifying and implementing opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency.
- Work with the client's team to provide technical support for automation systems, including troubleshooting and identifying root cause analysis for system failures.
- Collaborate with the client's team to develop and implement automation change control procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including client representatives, engineering teams, and vendors.
- Manage the automation event report process, including triaging, escalation, and resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in controls and automation engineering in a life sciences environment.
- Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, or Allen Bradley PLC or Wonderware SCADA systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
