About This Role
Spring internships will range between the months of January and May. Summer internships will range between the months of May and September. All dates dependent upon the university schedule of the selected students. Internships are full-time and on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
The flight software team is responsible for building, verifying, and maintaining the code that enables Varda's mission, both in-space and on the ground. For this role you will help in developing core functionalities for Varda's future manufacturing spacecraft, the mission software to operate them on orbit, and the tools supporting our engineering efforts back on earth.

Responsibilities
- Operate as an integrated member of Varda's Flight Software team.
- Own the development life cycle of your code and its system impacts. Contributing to the software needed in development of Varda's Spacecraft and payloads.
- Perform all necessary verification, SW/HW integration, and system testing of the software you develop.
Basic Qualifications
- C/C++ or Python development and software test experience
- Familiarity in deploying, executing, and debugging code built for microcontrollers, embedded systems, or robotics.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Experience leveraging or configuring CI pipelines.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Previous internship or co-op experience.
- Previous experience on technical project teams (i.e. Rocket club, formula SAE, etc.).
