The Veterinary Eye Center is looking for an entry-level Veterinary Assistant and animal lover to join our growing team at our location in Manhattan. Some veterinary experience is preferred. We are a staff of inspired veterinary professionals, practicing modern medicine in a state of the art and collaborative environment. What You'll Do:

  • Assist Doctor and Technicians in providing a seamless client and patient appointment experience
  • Handling and restraint of patients for consultation exams and patient sample collection
  • Handling and submission of patient samples to in-house and external laboratory
  • Thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking of appointment exam rooms and appointment treatment area

What We Require:

  • 1+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Assistant
  • Confidence with handling and restraint
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as team members
  • The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
  • A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
  • An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
  • A commitment to the welfare of animals
