About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will help shape and design a product portfolio that helps healthcare organizations safely adopt and scale artificial intelligence across clinical and operational use cases. You will work at the intersection of customer needs and Vega Health’s strategic priorities to define and deliver products that solve meaningful healthcare challenges.
You will partner closely with the Engineering and Services functions to translate customer and commercial insights into products that deliver measurable value. The ideal candidate is passionate about scaling repeatable products, highly analytical, and thrives in fast-paced environments where strategy and execution go hand in hand. This role will report to the Director of Products and Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management of a product portfolio, including product marketing, product design, model sourcing, etc.
- Translate customer feedback and commercial insights into well-defined product requirements, documentation, user guides, and implementation materials
- Partner with various internal functions (e.g., Engineering, Services) throughout the product development lifecycle, from planning through release, to ensure timely delivery and deployment
- Collaborate with the AI Evaluation and Monitoring function to ensure that the product scope accounts for the collection of key data to assess four dimensions of AI product performance: (1) technical accuracy; (2) user adoption and behavior change; (3) clinical and operational outcomes; (4) return on investment
- Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and product usage to inform feature prioritization and development
- Support customer discovery activities, including the facilitation of structured feedback forums (e.g., user group meetings)
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering function to specify product updates, priorities, and release plans for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor product performance, customer adoption, and product testing to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support the Director of Products and Services to execute the product roadmap and evaluate future product opportunities from the Marketplace
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of AI capabilities and innovation relevant to their product portfolio, identifying and cultivating potential supplier relationships to license and acquire technologies that enhance the product portfolio
- Collaborate with the Partnerships function to execute licenses, when relevant, to acquire third-party models to improve the product portfolio
- Manage supplier relationships for models relevant to the product portfolio, including facilitating initial onboarding calls, gathering the relevant model documentation, and licensing of additional models based on demand-driven customer insights
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master’s in related field preferred
- 2–5+ years of experience in Product Management, Management Consulting, Software Engineering, Implementation, or a related field
- Experience working on cross-functional projects involving complex stakeholders and product-related decisions or questions
- Experience leading a Product through the end-to-end lifecycle, starting with the conception of an idea through product launch
- Experience with enterprise SaaS or healthcare technology products
- Ability to work cross-functionally with an eagerness to lean into various functions across the company to drive Products to launch
- Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., GitLab)
Annual Salary:
$120,000 - 135,000 USD
Work Location Policy: Currently, we expect employees based in Durham to work from our office at least 3x a week. Employees who live outside of a 50-mile radius from our office may work remotely on a full-time basis with some travel to our office based on the needs of their function.
