Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Strategy: Collaborate with the Veo Field Operations Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies for fleet optimization.
  • Budget management: Plan, manage, execute, and track fleet operations spending to be adherent to the company and market budget set. Ability to review, evaluate, and adjust (when needed) budget allocation plan across supporting markets.   
  • Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and repairs for our fleet of cargo vans to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Rental Management: Identify and establish relationships with national rental partners, coordinating vehicle rentals when necessary, ensuring availability, and adherence to company standards.
  • Insurance Claims Handling: Manage and facilitate the process of insurance claims related to the fleet, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Fleet Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, registrations, and insurance policies.
  • Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact with leasing and rental vendors, cultivating relationships and ensuring quality service.
  • Samsara Dashcam Management: Oversee the installation and utilization of Samsara dashcams across the fleet for safety and compliance purposes.
  • Driver Safety Program Development: Maintain and improve ongoing driver safety and coaching program aimed at improving safety measures and driver performance within the fleet.
  • Identify Cost-Effective Maintenance Solutions: Research and implement cost-effective maintenance solutions, negotiate service agreements, and optimize expenditure while maintaining quality standards.
  • Administrative Support: Provide necessary administrative assistance to management, including handling email correspondence, Slack communications, and other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Fleet Management, Fleet Strategy, Automotive logistics, or comparable field
  • Proficiency in administrative tools (Google Drive, Slack, Outlook) and excellent organizational skills; minimum 2 years of supervisory/team lead experience. 
  • Strong understanding of automobile maintenance and familiarity with cargo van operations.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software, telematics systems and repair diagnostics tools used in the automotive industry. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Understanding of safety protocols, risk management, and the implementation of health and safety practices in fleet operations.
  • Effective leadership skills to motivate, coach and develop staff while fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Zendesk/Jira or other internal ticketing systems
  • Proficiency with Samsara
  • Start-up experience

Location:

  • Los Angeles (on site)

Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $100,000 + Full Range of Benefits. Veo is a total compensation company, and pay is determined by geographic cost of labor and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training - so not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
