We are seeking a Process Engineer with experience in Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) pharmaceutical manufacturing to support process optimization, technology transfer, validation, and equipment improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring robust, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations across multiple OSD unit operations.
Process Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for OSD manufacturing operations including top spray granulation, fluid bed drying, blending, milling, compression, coating, and bulk packaging
- Lead or support process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, yield, and efficiency
- Support equipment qualification, process validation, and change control activities in compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Validation) to execute process changes and new product introductions
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including protocols, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Participate in or lead capital projects related to process equipment upgrades, capacity expansion, and new technology implementation
- Analyze process data and apply statistical and engineering tools to identify root causes and drive process improvements
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline
- 2–5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical OSD manufacturing or process engineering
- Hands-on experience with one or more OSD unit operations (e.g., granulation, compression, coating, etc.)
- Familiarity with equipment design, scale-up, change control, and validation
- Experience managing or supporting capital projects strongly preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and EU regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Position has a 100% onsite requirement in Newark, DE
