About the job: Your main focus will be as a floor supervisor for veterinary technicians and assistants throughout the various departments.  You will assist the hospital in delivering excellent care to all our patients within the hospital and perform duties pursuant to WRAH Technician Protocols. You will embody our culture by treating every client with courtesy and respect, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.

How you'll make a difference

  • Work as a Technician in various departments, providing optimum clinical care for our patients
  • Collaborate seamlessly with everyone in the hospital, providing help where help is needed despite formality of role definition
  • Function as a part of the Supervisor team, contributing to problem-solving, workflow optimization, and communication refinement
  • Oversee and approve timecards, ensuring compliance with hospital policies
  • Monitor and resolve conflicts between team members in real time so that patients receive the appropriate care, and the departments meet schedule obligations
  • Serve as role model, mentor, and coach for Technicians and Assistants anywhere in the hospital

What you will bring 

  • 5+ years working as a veterinary technician
  • Registered Veterinary Technician required
  • Leadership experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience working as registered technician anesthetist. ASA Levels 1-3 preferred
  • Make sure that all room appointments are being run smoothly and in a timely manner
  • Oversee patient treatment areas
  • Proficient in handling sedated animals
  • Intermediate understanding of the various specialty departments and what is required for them to function
  • Train new staff members and provide them with the tools needed to be successful
  • A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols
  • Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects
  • Work in unison with the other supervisors and management


Schedule: Weekdays and some weekends, adaptative to the needs of the business

Salary: $28.00 - $33.00 / hour, based on experience

Base Pay

$28 - $33 USD
