Hardware Engineering Program Manager
Who We Are
Responsibilities
- Guide end-to-end product development efforts; work closely with a team of ME, EE, FW and ID resources (in both the US and Taiwan) to steer new programs from project RFQ through to validation, certification, manufacturing ramp-up, and sustaining
- Work closely with Verkada and JDM EPMs, Supply Chain Managers and Global Sourcing Managers to craft and track program schedules and coordinate all deliverables
- Own build readiness leading up to NPI builds; be present for key EVT, DVT, PVT milestones at our JDM R&D and factory facilities
- Drive vendors towards aggressive schedules and ambitious objectives
- Leverage your engineering foundation to de-risk development and solve technical challenges related to validation testing, line bring-up, FATP, yield, certifications and more.
- Lead a wide variety of weekly meetings including vendor calls, internal team updates, and presentations with key Verkada and JDM personnel
- Serve as the key point of contact for an international network of manufacturing partners
- Guide compliance efforts, sustaining work, and post-launch failure analysis efforts
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical design, validation and manufacturing; SMT exposure is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in developing and manufacturing new electronics products
- Must have completed at least two full hardware development cycles through product launch with direct exposure to FATP
- Excellent organizational skills and written and verbal communication
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English
- Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
