The Role

As the Head of Marketing, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping how we communicate our platform's value to the world, driving our growth at a critical moment in the clean energy transition. You’ll craft compelling messaging, develop go-to-market strategies, and empower our sales team to win enterprise customers looking to reduce their energy costs and emissions. Key Responsibilities

  • Product Marketing & Sales Enablement: Work closely with Product and Sales to define go-to-market (GTM) strategy for new product and feature launches. Conduct research to refine messaging effectiveness and persona alignment. Develop a deep understanding of the needs of Verse's customers and the associated value proposition for why these customers choose Verse. Disseminate this knowledge across the Verse functional teams.
  • Demand Generation & Growth Marketing: Develop and execute multi-channel demand generation strategies to drive Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and sales pipeline growth. Optimize inbound and outbound marketing tactics, including SEO, paid media, content marketing, and email campaigns. Implement ABM (Account-Based Marketing) strategies to target key enterprise and mid-market accounts.
  • Brand & Positioning: Own brand messaging and positioning, ensuring differentiation in the clean energy space.
  • Marketing Operations & Analytics: Build and manage the marketing tech stack (HubSpot, etc.) for automation and reporting.
  • Leadership & Team Building: Hire, manage, and scale a high-performing marketing team.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 8+ years in B2B marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in SaaS, technology, or clean energy industries.
  • Experience hiring, managing, and scaling a marketing team, with a track record of fostering a data-driven and experimental culture.
  • Proven track record of executing multi-channel demand generation strategies that drive MQLs and revenue growth.
  • Experience owning brand messaging and developing thought leadership content to establish market credibility.
  • Background in creating sales enablement materials, defining GTM strategies, and conducting competitive analysis.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and analytics tools to track key KPIs and optimize performance.
  • Ability to work closely with Sales, Product, and Executive teams to align marketing with business objectives.
