Inspector III
General Summary:
Responsible for the day to day recording and validation of material between customers, vendors and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects materials and products, for conformance to specifications
- Inspects finished product for quality and customer requirements.
- Inspects finished or in-process fabricated or mechanical parts, equipment and assemblies of a complex nature and determines acceptance or rejection.
- Carry out policies and procedures for testing and evaluating product.
- Responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment.
- Working to Standard Operating Procedures (work instructions)
- Assists in recording of Non-conformities of parts/product.
- Assisting in the controlling/segregating of conforming vs. non-conforming parts /product
- Evaluates parts or assemblies against standards, blueprints, engineering, and specifications
- Leads and directs the work of others and assists in the training of less experienced inspectors.
- Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Ability to operate a CMM.
- Assists in the training of less experienced inspectors.
- Other duties, as assigned by supervision or management.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of inspection
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Strong and extensive experience with portable and fixed CMM inspection equipment.
- Experience with coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programming a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- 7-10 years of experience in the field or in a related field.
- High school diploma or GED, and up to one year work experience.
- Ability to communicate simple facts with courtesy and clarity.
- Ability to perform calculations utilizing arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division normally attained through elementary school education.
- Ability to perform calculations utilizing algebra and fractions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Must be proficient in PCDMIS and/or VDMIS.
- Knowledge of Verisurf and Catia is a plus.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Pay Transparency
The salary information is a general guideline only. A wide range of factors are considered when extending an offer, such as job-related knowledge and skills, qualifications, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

$27 - $40 USD
