Regional Grocery Sales Manager

Position Summary

Verve is looking for a highly motivated Sales Professional with experience in growing revenue and strategic distribution. The ideal candidate will have Grocery/CPG sales experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to build strong trusted customer relationships. The Regional Grocery Sales Manager will be an integral part of the Wholesale team by supporting the Senior Grocery Sales Manager and owning regional & independent grocery partnerships during this time of rapid growth across the country.



Key Responsibilities 

  • Grow business with existing regional accounts across 2-3 U.S. regions
  • Deliver on new business goals by winning new grocery placements in targeted markets
  • Manage a continuous new business pipeline through relationship building and broker management
  • Manage strong relationships with existing accounts with significant growth potential
  • Create sales presentations with a clear understanding of launch support plans and strong ability to confidently represent Verve’s values, brand growth and product offerings
  • Keep the internal promotional calendar up to date and work in conjunction with the VP of Sales to evaluate ROI on promo spend
  • Work closely with our Sales Ops Team supporting account activity, onboarding and client requests
  • Work cross-functionally with Ops on forecasting, Accounting on promotional billbacks, and Marketing on launch support strategies and account-specific collateral
  • Develop creative strategies in collaboration with other Sales Managers to deliver growth across channels in targeted regions
  • Maintain detailed files and communication records for each account in ZenDesk Sell CRM
  • Stay informed on competitive climate and industry trends
  • Assist with events as needed

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience including Wholesale and/or brand experience, Grocery/CPG industry experience, specialty coffee/food experience preferred
  • Positive attitude and strong team mentality
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills , both written and verbal
  • Exceptionally well-organized, methodical, and efficient
  • Self-motivated and proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, and strong problem solving skills with the ability to take ownership and initiative
  • Able to multi-task and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with a customer-oriented perspective
  • Strong analytical ability and high emotional intelligence
  • A team player with a desire to be a part of a fast-growing organization with strong ethics
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver's License, access to a reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel on a monthly basis

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and location.
