The Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding, strong problem-solving skills, and experience building robust, scalable backend systems. As a backend developer, you will be responsible for the server-side logic, database design

As a Back-End Engineer at Vim, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and fellow external Developers, participate in Debug sessions and education regarding the product (Canvas) and product capabilities. Ensuring the delivery of new features and optimized front-end frameworks. You’ll have the opportunity to drive impactful improvements while contributing both autonomously and within cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Help build our products using microservices written in Typescript over Kubernetes
• Collaborate closely with the Product team, in a self-sufficient squad to achieve the squad’s OKRs
• Be the owner of your domain to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of our products
• Coach and mentor other developers and help them elevate their skills

Who We're Looking For

• 6+ years working as a backend engineer
• BSc in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
• Knowledge of various Coding Languages with advantage to Node.js 
• Passionate about technology
• Broad knowledge of modern backend frameworks, tools, and architecture
• Experience in managing complex technical projects from end to end.
• Ability to work in a collaborative mindset with different stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Amazon Web Services experience: specifically VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, Redshift, and RDS
• Experience in building enterprise software.
• Experience designing and building customer facing backend APIs.
