Cloud Platform Engineer needed to design, build and maintain our cloud infrastructure and platform services on Google Cloud Platform, with a strong focus on event-driven architectures.

What you’ll get to do:

You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, design and manage our event-driven API gateway using Apigee X, and ensure robust observability with New Relic. This role involves enhancing platform reliability, scalability, and performance for critical, real-time event-driven systems.

What you should have:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer or DevOps Engineer.
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with Apigee X for API management, specifically in developing and securing event-driven API ecosystems.
• Expertise in setting up and managing monitoring, alerting, and observability tools, particularly New Relic, for complex distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation best practices for cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes in event-driven contexts.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex platform issues and optimize cloud resource utilization.

Bonus points if you have:

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with other cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Scripting skills in languages like Python or Go.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures (e.g., Cloud Functions, Cloud Run) for event processing.
• Experience with message brokers and streaming platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka).
• Experience with advanced security practices in cloud environments.

We offer net hourly rate for B2B cooperation ranging from 100 - 130 PLN, dependent on your skills and experience.
