About The Role

This role is within the Product Organization on the Solution Design and Integration Team whose mission is to design solutions that scale for Partners and WeaveGrid. As a Senior Solution Architect I, you will serve as a subject matter expert on utility, automotive, EVSE and other charging systems, supporting market-facing teams through consultative sales processes and post-sales integration work. You will work independently on complex technical challenges while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet partner needs.

You will take ownership of defined integration projects, translating partner requirements into detailed technical specifications and working closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery. This role offers significant opportunities for growth and impact as you deepen your expertise and expand your influence across the organization.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more of the following domains, supporting Partner meetings and internal initiatives:

  • Distribution Operations, Demand Management, Electric Mobility or other related electric utility expertise
  • Charging Data Standards (IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR, IEC)
  • API-based device integration frameworks that support charging equipment and vehicles

Gather requirements, delineate scope, and define integrations and product expansions for both existing and prospective clients, working collaboratively with Business Development and Client Success teams.

  • Specify integrations with utility systems including CIS, ADMS, DERMS, Historians, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Collect current and future technical requirements from partners and coordinate with Product Management and Engineering to assess value, feasibility, and schedule
  • Support partnership conversations around technical approach and integration strategies
  • Create wireframe diagrams, presentation elements, demos, and proposal components to explain WeaveGrid software and technical approaches
  • Provide technical training and product deep-dives to market-facing teams
  • Orchestrate launch of new integrations and solutions 
  • Partner with Client Success in the implementation of custom and novel solutions 

Take ownership of integration delivery:

  • For new integrations, plan and execute the integration, acting as the single point of accountability for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with the design, detailed scoping, configuration, and testing of complex solutions
  • Document integration specifications and maintain technical documentation 
  • Provide tier 2 support for existing integrations

Engage Partners to build joint functionality roadmaps in conjunction with Business Development and Growth teams, with the goal of promoting scalable solutions

  • Provide input on platform requirements including security, scalability, and data integration needs
  • Participate in industry working groups as a representative of WeaveGrid
  • Support various sales and delivery objectives as defined by company OKRs
  • Special projects and other duties as designated by your manager or assigned designee.

About you

You are an experienced solution architect, technical project manager, or technical lead who excels at translating complex technical requirements into clear specifications and deliverable solutions. You have strong domain expertise in utility systems, electric vehicle charging, or related areas, and you're skilled at communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You work independently on routine tasks while knowing when to seek guidance on novel challenges. You're motivated to deepen your expertise, expand your influence, and mentor others as you grow in your career. You cherish the opportunity to bring teams together to deliver solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of full-time experience working in IT services, SaaS solutions, or related areas
  • Experience in enterprise software integration planning and execution
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to translate needs for diverse set of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in modern software tools (Gsuite, MS Office, Atlassian, Figma, CRMs, AI, etc.)
  • Domain expertise in one or several of the following areas:
    • Power systems, including distribution operations, demand management or other related electric utility expertise
    • Enterprise software systems and integrations
    • API-based device integration frameworks that support charging equipment and vehicles
  • Experience providing software product demos to senior executives and supporting consultative sales processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residing in or open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Advanced degree in engineering, business, or analytical sciences
  • Experience across both productized and IT services environments
  • Fluency in utility data standards (IEEE 2030.5, IEC, OpenADR)
  • Fluency in enterprise cloud software architecture and security
  • Experience with DERMS platforms and utility and/or energy market programs
  • SQL and/or Python a plus for data analysis

The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $135,000 - $165,000 plus equity (stock options) and benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience, and location. Please note that WeaveGrid may not necessarily hire individuals at or near the top of the base salary range. As you go through our interview process, our recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an equity package to get you excited about your future at WeaveGrid.
