As the Strategic Events Lead, you’ll drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Webflow’s hosted events program—anchored by our flagship annual user conference, Webflow Conf. You’ll design and execute high-impact experiences that align with Webflow’s business priorities, deepen customer engagement, and amplify our brand presence across core audiences. You will build and scale a future-ready hosted events strategy that supports long-term growth, including identifying new opportunities for in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences. You’ll serve as a strategic operator and trusted partner to cross-functional teams and external vendors, ensuring every event delivers measurable business value and a world-class experience for our customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.

  • The cash compensation for this role is tailored to align with the cost of labor in different geographic markets. We've structured the base pay ranges for this role into zones for our geographic markets, and the specific base pay within the range will be determined by the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.
  • United States  (all figures cited below are in USD and pertain to workers in the United States)
    • Zone A: $153,500 - $202,000
    • Zone B: $146,500 - $192,000
    • Zone C: $139,000 - $182,000
  • Canada (all figures cited below are in CAD and pertain to workers in Canada)
    • $168,000 - $231,000

This role is also eligible to participate in Webflow's company-wide bonus program. Target amounts are a percentage of base salary and vary by career level. Payouts are based on company performance against established financial and operational goals.

As a Strategic Events Leads, you’ll…

  • Own the strategy, planning, and flawless execution of Webflow's hosted events program, with Webflow Conf as the premier annual flagship experience.
  • Develop and scale a multi-format hosted event portfolio, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, to grow reach, impact, and brand relevance.
  • Lead high-stakes, cross-functional initiatives in partnership with senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders to ensure content, programming, and experiences reflect business priorities.
  • Oversee seven-figure budgets with precision, managing forecasting, reconciliation, and ROI optimization in partnership with Finance.
  • Source, contract, and manage global agency partners and vendors across production, venue, A/V, F&B, travel, gifting, and broadcast.
  • Translate attendee insights, data, and pipeline metrics into strategic improvements that drive measurable growth, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain detailed workback schedules and operational playbooks that support team alignment, excellence, and repeatable success.
  • Elevate executive and customer participation with clear messaging frameworks, speaker enablement, and high-touch experience design.
  • Collaborate with customer marketing, community, and content teams to maximize pre- and post-event amplification and lifecycle value.
  • Foster inclusive, accessible experiences that reflect Webflow’s commitment to DEI and global impact.

About you:

You’ll thrive as our Strategic Events Lead if you:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in an end-to-end ownership role for a 2,000+ attendee flagship user conference (as well as other hosted events) at high‑growth SaaS / tech companies. CMP, CMM, and/or DES certifications are a plus.
  • Possess superior project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously (project management expertise)
  • Demonstrated experience launching complex RFPs for venues, agencies, and services. Strong ability to manage agencies and subcontractors to deliver the optimal event experience for the lowest cost. (vendor and venue management:)
  • Have a proven track record partnering with C‑suite stakeholders on content, messaging, and on‑site presence for events. Demonstrable acumen with working with and alongside executives to drive decisions and optimal event experiences.  (executive presence)
  • Master of top event platforms (Cvent, Swoogo, Splash, Bizzabo or equivalent), collaboration stacks (Slack, Zoom, Notion), and analytics dashboards (Salesforce, Tableau). (Technical toolkit)
  • Demonstrated experience managing seven‑figure budgets, forecasting, and reconciliation in partnership with Finance across multiple event programs and vendor relationships. (budget acumen
  • Experience directing agencies and cross‑functional teams in remote‑first, asynchronous environments. Ability to work across all levels of the organization to deliver optimal event outcomes. (Leadership & influence)
  • Have a proven ability to design experiences for distinct personas (e.g., enterprise vs. SMB, developer vs. designer). Experience using audience data to shape agenda tracks, session formats, and networking opportunities. (audience strategy & segmentation expertise)
  • Possess a deep understanding of how event strategies support pipeline creation and acceleration. Familiarity with MQL, SQL, and attribution workflows tied to events. Ability to translate qualitative and quantitative feedback into clear ROI stories that influence strategic decisions. (Lead gen & sales alignment)
  • Produced a range of formats beyond panels/keynotes: workshops, product theaters, AMAs, on-demand libraries. Demonstrable experience and aptitude in building work back schedules, timelines, tools, and best practices for developing conference content with executive speakers, external speakers, and paid talent.   • Can travel up to ~5-10% (≈ 2-4  weeks per year) for flagship programs and on‑site inspections.
